Sophie Tanguay has been providing coaching services in the areas of career management, career development, communication strategies, and work-life balance for over ten years.
Sophie has worked successfully with many Professional Services organizations to provide coaching at professional, management, and senior executive levels. Sophie helps individuals gain clarity on their strengths, career potential, and passion for work. She focuses her practical approach on assisting individuals to position themselves strategically and best achieve their professional goals.
Sophie’s extensive background in human resource management allows her to work with organizations to foster productive internal career management philosophies and assist them in the implementation of talent management strategies to attract and retain top talent. She also partners with companies in their selection process to assess candidates for potential roles and evaluate their fit within the organizational culture.
Work-Life balance is a passion for Sophie. She firmly believes in helping people manage the work-life tug of war, in order to lead healthier and more balanced lives, and produce greater satisfaction all around. Sophie consults with organizations to create and implement competitive programs that contribute to a greater respect for the work-life balance of employees. Programs that in turn directly impact the attraction and retention of top talent, which helps companies gain a competitive edge in today’s market.
Prior to coaching, Sophie held senior roles in Human Resources across Technology, Telecommunications, and Manufacturing sectors. Her 13 years of corporate HR experience includes merger and acquisition activities as well as outsourcing initiatives at both national and international levels.
Sophie received a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal. She also completed a graduate certificate in Executive Coaching with Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. She is certified to administer a number of psychometric assessments including The Birkman Method, The Myers Briggs Indicator, and the Team Management Profile. Sophie is fluently bilingual in both English and French.
