Executive Coaching/ Trusted Advisor
This type of coaching is usually for the most senior level roles in an organization. It tends to be a long-term relationship. The coach will interact primarily with the leader but will also interact with others in the organization in order to better advise the leader.
Recognizing that isolation occurs at the senior levels of management, the discussion between the leader and coach focuses on strategies for achieving the leader’s goals for the organization. There is some focus on the leader’s development but less than in structured one-on-one coaching.
The coach acts as an objective third party allowing the leader a format for flushing out situations and creating strategies for dealing with the day-to-day challenges of leading the organization.
